Title: Mark is pretty much leaving Reticulum Author: Int32 Posted the: 28 Dec 2025 14:22 Category: Reticulum
Mark is pretty much leaving Reticulum
Mark is now stepping back from all public-facing interaction with Reticulum. he will still sometimes publish updates, but that's it.
this means that there will be no support, no responses to issues, no discussions, and no community management in this or any other public venue.
so now we will have to:
1. make a new discussion space, like here or on the matrix channel.
2. building stuff around Reticulum instead of waiting for Mark to do it.
next year will be a tough year.

Reply: Sad, but understandable. Personally I'm OK with that because I know first hand how exhausting dealing with people and the self-imposed pressure that comes from that can be, so all I can say is all the best, Mark, and thank you for showing this to the world. You're doing real change, and people are picking up on it. With a bit of luck, Reticulum will play a part in helping humanity's coming dark years.
I don't think Reticulum will die without Mark actively steering the ship and he knows this, it is too useful to forget about.

Reply: RNS and nomadnet already offer a wealth of possibilities for creating hybrid networks and nodes that can deliver useful and important content or services, with low latency, but with very high resilience and security. Happy New Year!

Reply: I mean, the project is already great, lots of fun. I think people will continue to discover this and the community will grow.

Reply: Keyword public-facing. I know that Mark is in relatively regular contract with Torlando at the very least.

Reply: Doesn't mean that either of your points are invalid; quite the contrary. It means that we can have *both* Mark building things as well as everyone else building things. Best of both worlds.
